2025 Series Notes

First year back to six games since 2021, and the Cubs made the most of it. The May series at Wrigley was a beatdown — Cubs outscored the Sox 26-8 across three games and swept the series to extend their Crosstown win streak to eight straight.

Pete Crow-Armstrong was the story of that May series: eight hits, nine RBI across three games. He was simply a different caliber of player than anything the Sox could put out there.

In July, the Sox showed some life — they blew out the Cubs 12-5 in the opener to snap the 8-game losing streak. But the Cubs took the next two to win the series 2-1 and finish 5-of-6 for the year.

The Cubs entered 2026 with a two-game all-time lead: 77-75.
