Gossage first appeared in a game in 4.16.1972 at age 20, and pitched until 8.8.1994. He appeared in over 1000 games, threw 16 complete games, over 1,500 strike outs, over 300 saves, 124 Wins, not only pitched to end games to get the save, but often pitched 2 innings or so to get the save. Goose was a 6 time All Star, appeared in 3 World Series, 78, 81, and 84, in which he went a total of 1-0 with 1 save and a 2.63 ERA in 13.2 innings and had 11 strike outs.
